Looking Back My Journey On 2015: What A Year It Was

In today’s generation with the help of social media sites, people can scrutinize a closer look of what has been up of the past. We can tend to recollect, recall the memories, and even looking back the timeline on Facebook and Instagram or bringing back into one’s mind the remembrance you had over the past.

Anyhow, I thought I was lost in reverie since the heartbreak. But when I  got to check my timeline of 2015 however there are significant pieces of memories worth to reminisce – with teary eyes – of countless good and unpleasant experiences. But I’m also displeased since this blogsite got hacked on June 2015 that it took me longer months to revive the site until end of the year. Sad because my published posts from January to June that vanished have not recovered anyways. However, still trying to start new posts as of this moment, perhaps I’m getting bolder now.

So here’s my chronicle of 2015. But whatever sorrow brought me over the past and at present, there are still delightful events worthy to share and be remembered of.

December 2015 with S&R Pizza

It is the time of the year when December comes I wonder why people in every corners of the world can seem so very happy. You know how surreal it is even if we feel incomplete yet still we find December to be merry.

It was a day when half of the morning team were busy planning for a small Christmas celebration at the office, while I am desolate in the lack of interest for my own team to have the kind of idea when I knew that they were yearning to suggest. So as not to embarrass them I had to coordinate my co-Lead and then we came up with a plan to celebrate our both teams to have a simple Pizza party with an exchange gift just in the office on December 24th.

I volunteered to pick-up our pre-ordered S&R Pizza located at Ayala Center Cebu. That was the first time I’ve gone in the place and it has 35 tables and can accommodate at least 200 people. So I went back in the office and had our party after our shift. In addition, the party wouldn’t be complete with pizza’s alone, so we ordered softdrinks in liters at nearby office’ convenience store. The verdict: S&R pizza is so delicious.

So we had our group picture pose although it’s not a complete team hence other colleagues were shy to join us then.

November 2015 in Dumaguete City on Holiday epoch

Since my parents lived for good in Negros Oriental I always make it to the point that during special events even for short period of time at least I could go home in the province to visit them and my niece.

Landing in Dumaguete City that time again was just unexpected. It was the season to celebrate the feast and solemnity of All Saints Day on November 1st and All Souls Day on November 2nd. And when the short vacation was about to over, good that I was able to ride in my aunts vehicle as I got interest when they’ve planned to drop by in Dumaguete City just to buy delicacies before I headed back to Cebu.

So whenever you plan to visit in Dumaguete City, never miss out to indulge the Sans Rival and Silvanas. You have to try these goodies coz it tastes so very good because of its sweet-buttery goodness. Just visit the Sans Rival and Silvanas Cakes and Pastries shop and buy for pasalubong.

October 2015 10K Finisher in the 39th Milo Marathon

I’ve this fancy feeling before hoping someday I can able to join in a Milo Marathon. The MILO® Marathon is the longest-running and most-attended marathon in the Philippines, also being held in different parts of the country.

Anyhow, although I didn’t consider myself a well-practiced runner but silly of being my inconsistent of doing a regular exercise which in short there’s a need for push button for me in order to exert one physical activity.

Since I heard that Milo Marathon had scheduled way to go, good that my running buddy also shared the same interest so we bolted in to join but for 10K distance only. We did not consider ourselves yet to join in longer distance like the 21K perhaps. Then we had our short practice at the Abellana Cebu City Sports Complex about two weeks alternately prior the actual race schedule, but not as good as you thought of being prepared. 🙂

The 39th National Milo Marathon race details:
Event date: October 11, 2015 (Sunday)
Location: Cebu at  Cebu City Sports Complex
Distance running: 3k, 5k, 10k, 21k
Registration fee for 3K is P80; 5K is P110; 10K is P530; 21K is P630

Enrolled DPE in Cebu Technological University (CTU) on October 2015

Time fly so fast as I get older there are signs that shows — seems like my critical thinking is getting depleted. Since I’ve been through a lot of difficulties in life that I wanted to redirect myself into something that makes me feel good and consider a diversion that could be beneficial to me (including my immediate family members) or perhaps that could regard to future stability. So I’ve been weighing so many things before I came up a plan (cost to consider) to take a short term course then enrolled the DPE program – Diploma in Professional Education at CTU-Main Campus, Cebu City.

Hope and pray that I could be able to pass the LET examination this coming September of this year 2016.

Coastal Cleanup Drive on June 2015

The Coastal Cleanup Drive last June 28, 2015 was in time of the very significant date of my life since the vow, that’s why I’ve included this part herein the post.

It was blessing in disguise that despite of being a sad mood, good thing that my company where I worked organizes an upcoming Coastal Clean Up and so I volunteered in. As I recall there were more or less 100 participated the event out of 1000 employees.

We rendezvous at I.T. Park Lahug, Cebu City at 6:00am and ETA 7:30am. Then we were mobilized to clean-up within the coastal area of Marigondon, we found trashes mostly plastics & wrappers, pieces of clothes, broken glasses, styrofoam and collected many sacks of rubbish. The activity ended before 10:00am as far as I could remember. That was cool!

Island Hopping on May 2015

I was grateful being part of this Island Hopping experience with my in-laws and couple of youngsters. It was nearly end-of-Summer season in the month of May, so it’s way to go before the rainy season starts and the students can start their classes, studying — but not all feelings are the same. Then we rendezvous at Gaisano Island Mall Mactan and took a multicab bound for Maribago, Lapu-lapu City,

Cebu Island Hopping is one of popular activity introduced in Cebu if you happen to staycation in a grandest hotel in Mactan and also people living in nearby areas of Lapu-lapu City, Mandaue City and Cebu City. So to make your summer a blast, here are several Islands mostly visited during the Island tour: Caohagan Island, Nalusuan Island, Hilutungan Island, Pandanon Island, Sulpa Island, Sta Rosa Island, Olanggo Island – fish sanctuary where one can go snorkeling, diving, or just enjoy fish feeding before heading back the Mactan channel.

So if you’re planning a day tour to get to these paradise-like islets you can arrange via an outrigger boat or a pumpboat at Maribago. Or can browse further via google for keywords about island hopping in Cebu.

The point of exit is at Punta Engano Port which is located in Mactan island at the back of Moevenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu formerly Hilton Hotel.

A Love to Reminisce at the Primary Homes Run on May 2015

In Cebu, Philippines – Primary Group of Builders once again organizes a run for a cause in the Home Run 2015: A ‘Run to build their future’ program held on May 17, 2015 (Sunday) at the Cebu Business Park.

The race features 12K, 6K and 3K categories. Actually, I didn’t get there to run but I’m forced to cheer up a special someone who run the 12K category. I’ve intended to include this part as a remembrance of my love but lost.

The fun run “Home Run 2015” raises P400,000 for the beneficiaries of Primary Structures Educational Foundation, Inc. (PSEFI) scholars under Primary Group’s School of Knowledge for Industrial Labor, Leadership, and Service (SKILLS) program.

Revisited Negros Oriental on May 2015

Every season of festive at home province where my parents lived I always plan to go home and arrange leaves at work. Whatever type of the day it is whether gloomy or sunny, the barangay fiesta in Sibulan, Amlan, Negros Oriental will always fall on every May 15 in celebration of barangay patron saint Isidore the Laborer or San Isidro de Labrador (St. Isidore The Laborer – Patron Saint Of Farmers).

The picture above is located way outskirts of Sibulan in Tambojangin, this is a river channel that connects from Sibulan. This is a public spot where there’s no entrance fee or corkage, whilst some locals would also intend to wash their clothes off at the river aside from swimming.

But since it was a good day to start after fiesta aside from available adventure places in Sibulan, together with the whole family members and relatives then we invaded in Tambojangin also parts of Amlan province. From our home we only took it less than an hour to get in the place by vehicle.

A Love to Reminisce at the RC Goldline Run on April 2015

Looks like I’ve got big smile on the picture back then. But since I’m wearing a casual clothes on the image that is pretty obvious I’m not one in the runner list. Just to bring back the good times, that was the first time my husband did participate in a run event, so to support him I made sure to be there just to cheer him up and got also few photos of some runners. It is a remembrance of today that’s why I’ve included this post for the reason of love and lost.

For once and for all last April 18-19, 2015 we have climbed up again in one of notable highest peak of Cebu — Osmeña Peak in Dalaguete, for the 3rd time around. Scaling Mt. Kanlaon on March 2015

I happened to get along with the SuOc members during their major climb held last March 5-8, 2015 for four days straight in Mt. Kanlaon, Canlaon, Negros Occidental. Photo credit: Sir Dan Brian G. Gerona – www.dbgg1979.com.

Scaling Mt. Kanlaon is one of the most memorable and fantastic experience so far in my climb history. Truly the most extraordinary climb and amazing outdoor activity I had during the entire expedition. I owe this venture a lot to my former travel buddy for letting me join the said event.

Good that we were able to climb up Mt. Kanlaon before PHIVOLCS raised the alert level to 1 (mild restiveness) on December 12, 2015. Kanlaon volcano is still in the state of unrest where had two low energy ash eruption following on December 27, 2015, an ash eruption occurred at Kanlaon’s active crater.
